Another week, another laundry list of things to do.  That actually includes laundry, which I am doing today.  Don is working late tonight, so I'm going to work on tidying up the place.  I may try and get to the beach on Friday depending on the weather.  I got an invitation for my sister's barbeque next month.  It's a covered dish, and I have to figure out what recipe I'm going to make.  I have to make my plans for Philadelphia next month and Connecticut in the Fall.  Should be really fun. 

So I finally asked for the TRUE badge.  I got a notification that I was
eligible for the badge.  I post on Xanga when I can, and I think that
after five years, I meet the criteria.  I can't believe that it's been that long since I started playing on Xanga.  LOL!  I can't figure, for the life of me, how I found something to post for all that time.  I've also had the chance to get to know alot of really cool people from all walks of life.  Pretty great I think. 

Well, I'm off to do some folding and then some reading outside on the deck.  Take care and have a good week...

I haven't been single in a looooooong time, but I do have one piece of advice for a single person.  Learn to love being on your own, and to love yourself.  You can never enter a relationship soundly before that happens.  It's the best thing you can try to do in your lifetime.

Happy Father's Day!  I decided to change the look of the place today.  I felt like it needed to be pink.  I'm taking my Dad to lunch and then I have to drop by my in laws house later to celebrate with them.  Should be nice.  Take care and have a great day...

This is absolutely adorable...

The learning toys that they have contain berries and nuts.  Playing with these toys teaches the young orangutans to forage for food in the wild.  It's very sweet to watch.

Now that my page is off being private... Most of my blog entries will remain protected. 

Since my husband Donald can't attend the family reunion this year, I decided to have a special barbeque for him and his buddies tonight.  His treats will all be fish or vegan, but for the rest I'm making bbq ribs, gourmet burgers, french fries, and bbq chicken.  I made Donny teriyaki bbq salmon filets, roasted veggies, peppercorn tilapia filets, and roasted russet new potatoes.  I'm having mini portions of each. 

If I had any movie quote to reflect on I would take it from Stealing Home.

I can't tell you how glad I am for the Summer.  I know that technically it's not Summer yet, but Memorial Day just marks the fact that it's around the corner.  I can't wait to spend my days on a beach with a good book, and a mint iced tea.  My feet comfortably placed in the warm sand or leisurely walking down the surf washed coastline.  Swimming and splashing in the water, and the smell of coconut lotion on the salt air.  That's paradise to me.  Although trying to get my husband to join me is something of a chore.  LOL!  I don't really believe in astrology, but he's a Taurus and I guess bulls don't like to swim.
